In continuation of the industry networking tour of the creative industries in Nigeria, AMAN members led by their president, Mr. Collins Ifeanyi Onwuneme Ajereh Enebeli Mavin Grandpa paid a courtesy visit to POPCENTRAL TELEVISION, Lagos Nigeria as part of its industry networking tour of the creative industries to seek partnership and collaborations between the POPCENTRAL and AMAN. It will be recalled that in 2024, AMAN did a lot of industry networking and was warmly welcomed by those who visited.
Continuing these visits, POPCENTRAL was another point of call by the AMAN president and his team. During the visit, we were joined by the founder and CEO of POPCENTRAL Mr. Yinka Obebe, a young visionary leader, who took us on a tour of the POPCENTRAL Facility, a beauty to behold due to the art collections on exhibition in the facility. The paintings are stories of artistes and their journeys told through painting and art, a history of the Nigerian music industry told in colours. On display are paintings of iconic Nigerian artistes and their works, which resonated with our members. It showcased the relics of rich artistry, stories woven in culture through music, a beauty to behold, which tells the story of how our music has evolved over the past seventy years.
While addressing Mr. Yinka and his team at POPCENTRAL, Mavin Grandpa, stressed the importance of appreciating our history and culture through art and sought collaboration with POPCENTRAL towards giving AMAN members the needed visibility to showcase their craft.
The Global Spokesperson for AMAN Karifest Duchess Onyekaah Esq. highlighted the importance of promoting one’s cultural identity in relation to a people’s history. Art is life, and we must continue to tell our story to the world as a people because people without a history have no identity. We must continue to build that community while telling our stories as Africans, that is, the much we owe ourselves, this generation, past generations, and future generations of creatives. We at AMAN will continue to do our part in telling the African story by giving our members opportunities to showcase their talent and crafts to the world for more visibility. Africa has talents, and we are ready as much as the world is ready for Africa. AMAN is, and will remain a … Springboard To Stardom for creatives.
